Announcing the Launch of the new Graduate Program in Satellite Computing and Service Systems Technology (SCST)

Launch Date: July 8, 2024
Starting: Spring Semester 2025
Collaborators: KAIST-EE and HUST-SEEE

July 8, 2024 — The Graduate School of Electrical Engineering at KAIST, in collaboration with HUST-SEEE, is proud to announce the launch of a new graduate program in Satellite Computing and Service Systems Technology (SCST).

This innovative program will begin in the Spring semester of 2025 and is designed to address the growing demand for experts in satellite onboard circuits and communications technology.

Program Overview

The SCST program offers a comprehensive curriculum that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on experience in satellite systems and services. Students will work with state-of-the-art technology and learn from leading experts, preparing them to tackle industry challenges and seize emerging opportunities in satellite computing and application domains.

Opportunities for Early Applicants

In its first year, the program will welcome a select group of outstanding applicants to be the first participants in this pioneering initiative.

As the field expands, we plan to increase our intake and establish a dedicated research and development initiative focused on satellite computing frameworks, application services, and satellite technology.

A Journey to Success

The SCST program is housed within KAIST’s Graduate School of Electrical Engineering. Therefore, applicants must choose Electrical Engineering as their major and indicate special research interests in satellite computing, application services, or related fields.

Graduates will earn a master’s degree and return to Vietnam as highly skilled engineers and researchers, well-prepared for future career opportunities. To support students, stipends will be provided to assist with living expenses.
