1. Cloud Collaboration Platform

  • Cloud Collaboration Platform(CCP) is to optimize the performance of cloud service while maximizing the resource utilization and reduce the cost for providing the application service over the heterogeneous cloud environment.

  • Cloud Collaboration Platform is comprised of Adaptive Resource Collaboration Framework(ARCF) and Adaptive Contents Collaboration Platform(ACCP).
  • ARCP manages heterogeneous multi-clouds in an integrated form and provides proper cloud resource in cost adaptive way while meeting user QoS. ARCF provides policy based resource management mechanism considering multiple cloud services’ performance and cost. Moreover, ARCP provides application service for various scientific applications such as genetic analytics, scientific experiments.
  • ACCP provides collaboration environment for sharing services and contents in a virtual workspace based on cloud. Also, it automatically performs active work according to the event occurred by contents. ACCP provides scalable service through interconnection to cloud infrastructure, and development environment for collaborative works. Also, ACCP provides virtual workspace named content space so that users can rapidly and easily collaborate with co-workers with it.
  • Cloud collaboration technique provides contents collaboration environments required for next-generation mobile services such as business and social media. Also, it integrates different services from diverse cloud vendors then provides a unified interface so that users can easily develop and quickly utilize an application.
  • We focused on ARCF.


2. Adaptive Resource Collaboration Framework

  • Support to provide the integrated interface over the heterogeneous cloud environment on each cloud service provider’s own interfaces to utilize and control its cloud service.
  • Support to provide the heterogeneous resource management with profile, monitor and provision the cloud resource in order to manage the meta-data and real-time status of cloud resource for guaranteeing the performance of resource.
  • Support to transplant complex applications into the cloud environment as a cloud application services with the simple & easy application registration interface in the independent way with operating system and platform.
  • Support to provide the cloud application service scheduling (workflow scheduling) to guarantee the performance and reduce the cost on the execution of the service in cloud environment.
  • ARCF is comprised of four functions : Heterogeneous Resource Monitoring, Heterogeneous Resource Profiling, Cost Adaptive Resource Provisioning and Workflow Management.


3. Real-time Mobile Cloud Research Center (RmCRC)

    3-1. Overview

    • Real-time Mobile Cloud Research Center (RmCRC) consists of the following three parts.
    • First, developing mobile cloud platform management schemes for real-time business environment.
    • Second, developing mobile cloud operating schemes for business data processing in mobile cloud environment.
    • Third, developing business logic and prototype for cloud-based business system provisioning.


    3-2. Service Scenario

    • Real-time mobile cloud system for POS system in smart work environment using next-generation wearable devices.
    • Mobile-based real-time business supporting platform for POS-based CRM analysis.


    3-3. Heterogeneous Mobile Cloud Data Management Broker

    • Mobile cloud platform requirement design. Mobile cloud metadata definition, metadata-based real-time virtual instance migration, real-time data provisioning scheme for QoS guaranteeing in mobile cloud services.
    • Mobile cloud platform detail design. Mobile cloud metadata-based resource management scheme, data consolidation and provisioning based on data usage characteristics.
    • Mobile cloud data analysis system implementation. QoS accelerating and guaranteeing schemes using resource and service profiling in heterogeneous cloud environment, data virtualization scheme for integrated management of distributed and heterogeneous data.
